The project involves the enhancement of over 70 acres of wetlands through the re-establishment of tidal flow and the creation of open water areas. More than 425,000 cubic yards of spoils material will be excavated mechanically creating more than 50 acres of low and high marsh habitat and more than 10,000 linear feet of tidal channels. Excavated spoils will be used onsite to create upland habitat for a variety of species.
